Introducing Flora June Blair.
But we call her June.
She was born Friday night, May 7th, a little after 9:00. She weighed 6 lbs, and she’s 19 inches long.
We adore her. And think she’s extra cute when she yawns.
PS — I’ll be taking a blogging break this week. But Monday to Friday, I have all sorts of fantastic pregnancy and birth and adoption stories that will be posted in my absence. Yay!

CONGRATULATIONS!! She’s precious. We shared a due date, but mine was also born a little early (May 7th via c-section for a breech baby). I love that the first hats they hand out in the hospital are the same in CO and in DC. Sending good wishes.

Congratulations, Gabrielle! I know what you mean about time–one week after my now-ten-weeks-old baby girl was born, I was already mourning the passage of time. I’m only comforted to know that each stage brings more joy and fun.

THATS MY NAME! It is an old, Victorian name but I was named after my grandmother in Italy. Flora June is a beauty! Congrats! She wears the name well. ;) Great site, BTW!
I have a 1 year old daughter named Flora – this is the first time we’ve heard of another little girl with that name. Congratulations on your little girl and of course – good taste!
